Eliminate docking stress and Discover how to maneuver, dock and tie up your boat with ease...

In this video, I'm going to show you how to tie a simple cleat hitch at the dock. It's a quick and easy way to secure your boat, and it's something that anyone can learn how to do.

First of all, when you're tying a cleat hitch, you want to be on the back side of the cleat. This is where the line is pulling, so you'll have better leverage and control over the knot.

To tie the knot, start by coming around the back side of the cleat and then making a figure eight with the line. You don't need to go all the way around the cleat - just come halfway around and make the figure eight.

Once you've made the figure eight, you can pull the line tight. The great thing about this knot is that it's incredibly secure, even when there's a lot of pressure on the line. And when you're ready to release the knot, it's just as easy - you simply lift up on the line and the knot will come loose.

Overall, the simple cleat hitch is a great knot to know for any boater. It's quick, easy, and reliable, and it can be tied by anyone, regardless of their experience level. So the next time you're at the dock, give it a try and see how it works for you!
